Guided fishing trips in both Washington, Oregon and the Columbia River. Columbia River guided salmon fishing trips are the most popular guided fishing trips in the Northwest due to the shear abundance during this season. Also the thrill of the catch and the joy it brings to people. Steelhead fishing is another popular fishery. Some clients love winter Steelhead fishing from a drift boat because they like being on a small tributary. And others like summer Steelhead fishing because they enjoy the warm summer weather. Keeper Sturgeon fishing doesn’t happen very often due to the limited seasons. Catch and release Sturgeon fishing is a great fishery because you are able to reel in a tremendous amount of fish.
Guided Columbia River Fishing
Many locations on the Columbia River have some of the most beautiful, desirable waters in the Pacific Northwest. Whether you are seeking a little serenity, a getaway with family, or just a heart-pounding adventure on the water; a guided fishing trip can provide it for you. STS takes pride in offering well, thought-out guided fishing trips throughout Washington, Oregon and also along the Columbia River. Charter fishing trips for Salmon, Steelhead and Sturgeon range from Astoria / Buoy 10 up stream to the John Day Dam.
Buoy 10 guided salmon fishing is one of my most popular fall salmon fishery. These trips fill up quick along with guided Klickitat River and Deschutes River hover fishing trips. Drano Lake spring Chinook fishing is my most popular guided spring Chinook fishing charter. This is because of the two spring Chinook limit and I do very well on spring Chinook each day at Drano Lake.
Guided Wilson River Steelhead fishing trips and Nestucca River Steelhead trips are both very popular winter Steelhead destinations. Both of these rivers get great returns of winter Steelhead. These are very hands of fishing, and done out of my Clackacraft Drift Boat.
Willamette River guided spring Chinook fishing trips combined with catch and release Sturgeon make for a fun day. These trips are great because we start the day fishing for spring Chinook and then transition to catch and release Sturgeon fishing. Another reason the Willamette River is so great is because most of the locations we fish are near Portland.

All I can say is that Shawn is a very professional salmon and Steelhead fishing guide in the PNW and when I say professional its exactly what I mean. All of his gear from his boats to the top of the line rods and reels he has are always ready to go. I have had many great trips with him and have limited out more times than not. Shawn is one of the best guides I have fished with. He works very hard to find fish. He is very knowledgeable and will not waste your time if the fishing is slow. Year Around Fishing – Steelhead Sturgeon Salmon Fishing Guide & Charters
Fishing year around for Salmon, Steelhead, Walleye and also Sturgeon on the Columbia River and tributaries in both Washington and Oregon. Following the current species migration as they move from the ocean into the fresh water. This is done out of a top notch 25′ Willie Raptor open sled, which fishes up to 6 people very comfortably. Willie Raptor is completely setup with state of the art equipment to help us get on the fish. If we are not fishing out of the open sled, then we will be fishing smaller tributaries from a fully loaded 18’ Clackacraft Clackamax drift boat. Drift boat trips are very fun, hands on fishing, for Chinook salmon, summer and winter Steelhead.
